The Markel Corporation required a sturdy reel to hold lengths of thin, delicate tubing and keep it intact throughout shipping. The reel had to be made of plastic, because there could not be any contamination of fibers into the tubing. Additionally, the core of the reel had to perfectly round so as not to bend or kink the tubing wound around it. Ultimately we provided them with a plastic corrugated reel with thicker corrugated flanges that met the expectations of durability, and a core made of thinner material that provided the necessary flexibility to keep the tubing perfectly round.
